Charity Rocks: Benefit & Joy With Three Aid Projects in Romania

Dear friends of Benefit & Joy,
this year‘s aid projects in Eastern Europe will start soon. We will again focus on Bechet, which is situated at the Danube in Romania (region Walachia).
What We Intend To Do
1. Carrying Donations
We will carry about two tons of donations, predominantly clothing, beddings, towels, toys for children, etc. We will hand them over to the people personally.
2. Building A Computer Room
Our target is to strengthen rural areas by „docking“ them to future. As education is a key to a better future we will bring both the hardware and the software and also furniture and build a computer room in the local library of Bechet. If necessary, we will also renovate the room.
3. Heating Systems For The Families We Support Since 2010
In 2010 we had our first housebuilding trip to Bechet in cooperation with Habitat for Humanity. There are still a lot of things lacking, above all the families urgently need heating systems, which they cannot afford. We will buy the heating systems and help to install them. We will also do some construction work to finish the houses and to make sure that the families can move in.
4. Other
Unlike big aid organizations, we have a flexible organization structure, which empowers us to carry out (at least smaller) projects and help missions straight away. For example, this year we will bring silicone patches to a little boy in Craiova, who became a fire victim this summer. We will also bring some urgently needed wheelchairs to the people of Romania.
Next Sunday two members of Benefit & Joy will head towards Romania. 10 more volunteers will join in on 9th of September. Stay tuned, we will bring in all the news frequently!
